Let the whole world know you have a blog!

Starting a blog is easy. But getting readers for it is not always that easy!

So it is a dream-come-true for bloggers that a unique website was recently started to bring bloggers and their target readers together.

It is rssHugger started by Collin LaHay and based on the principles of viral marketing.

Advantages to the bloggers:

- provides a user-friendly way to promote their blogs by sending them traffic
- builds backlinks for search engine optimization
- attracts new rss subscribers if the content is interesting to the reader

Advantages to the readers:

helps to find blogs that deal with their favorite subjects so that readers can add them to their RSS readers or bookmark it.

The registration fee for reserving your permanent page on rssHugger is $20 for 10 years.(That works out to just $2 per year). But that is not the end of it:

The good news is that, at this time, even that charge can be waived!! Just write a honest review of the website on your blog!!

Only one thing rssHugger insists on: Your blog should be one that dads and mums will be happy to share with their children – IT SHOULD BE FAMILY-FRIENDLY!

Ethereal Music

I never have been to Ethiopia. I don’t know the Ethiopian language. I don’t know any Ethiopian even though I may be passing some of them on the subway daily.

For that matter, I don’t have any connection with Africa, except for a brief visit to Cairo some thirty years back.

Recently, I stumbled upon this musician while searching online for Bob Marley. Frankly, I was stunned. The first day I was so “possessed” by his music that I woke up ‘in the dead of the night’ to hear that music again. My other half who was disturbed by this commotion at 3 a.m. commented, “ You should be out of your mind!”

Yes, I was.

Agreed, the pictures of Marley, Haile Selazie, religious and national symbols all point to the possibility that he may be a man with a mission, an actvist. (And yes, the beat is akin to Reggae.)

That doesn’t apply to me as I don’t speak his language and most of the time I don’t even know what he is singing about.

But I am in a trance whenever I hear his music. And I am not that young.

So when music transcends geographic, racial, cultural, linguistic, and generational barriers,

then, there you have something more than EARTHY MUSIC, it is ETHEREAL MUSIC!!!

That should be Teddy Afro.

The Law of the Ghosts

No! I don’t believe in ghosts! There is no scientific proof that they exist.

But, whenever I read history, I am surprised to see something strange that happened with astonishing regularity. For want of a better term, I call it ‘the Law of the Ghosts’:

“ Wherever innocent blood had been shed, each drop had come back with a vengeance.”

- if not in the same generation, definitely in the next.

So, I am laughing at those who murder innocent people and still believe they can get away with it and sleep nicely. They don’t know what is in store for them. (They can fool their fellow humans but not the ghosts!)

That include my com-“patriots” who plotted, aided and abetted foreigners to massacre thousands of innocent fellow citizens inside the towering inferno and still recite a phony “We will never forget” on each anniversary!

How much my frail human life is worth?

Placing a value on human life, to some people at least, may seem a cruel joke.

But there is a field of study on Human Life Value spanning economics and finance, especially, insurance. And these values will be very useful in assessing the feasibility of lifesaving projects and in avoiding unnecessary deaths.

In the reports I read, the value of a human life is given various values but all of them above $1,000,000, going up to $20,000,000.

The question is am I measuring up to those high values set on my life? My vanity says I am. My conscience suggests," How about being honest some of the time! "

Or, may be, I set a high value on my life and undervalue the lives of others.

Are leveraged forex trading accounts suitable for the small investor?

Definitely not! As long as forex industry remains above the law and unregulated.

I know the enticements are too many:

I can start an account for just $1 or for no dollar. A few firms even allow me to trade $1.

And they graciously lend me money up to 400% margins - a generosity even my dad never showed.

But strangely, if I try scalping quick profits the smaller firms will close my accounts.

My stop-losses are always hit. And if I trade without stops, at least two of them engineer false spikes after secretly lowering my margin without my asking for it.

Unfortunately, the false price spikes find their way into the global price quotes giving it legitimacy.

They refuse to provide volume data claiming difficulties due to a global market and 24-hour trading. But that excuse doesn’t hold in this era of fast computing.

Price slippages, which are things of the past in stocks and commodities, are still shamelessly practiced in this so called trillion dollar industry.

So the truth is that no-commission taking retail firms are not part of that global industry but just parasites feeding on the crumbs left by the real players.

And ironically, the money for taking positions against own customers are provided by the same customers.

In books on stocks and commodities, they say only 20% of traders break-even. Then in an unregulated industry like forex trading the break-even may be 5% or even less.

May be the small investor should wait till the purely commission-based firms bring down their capital requirements.
